Michael Sauer is a photographer from Vienna - Austria
His body of work is strongly influenced by the ideas of Zen buddhism. Henri-Cartier Bresson once spoke of the "decisive moment" - the moment worth waiting for.
Structure - rhythm - content - wait, wait, wait - NOW!
Zen is characterized by pure structure, the "open vastness" and mindfulness. Despite its emphasis on discipline Zen seeks to create a state free of intentions. Even if that sounds paradoxical, it actually shows the limits of words perfectly. A picture can deliver a message, when words would fail or confuse. I would like to present these kinds of pictures in my photographical art.
